Kyrgyz Police Seize Large Amount Of Heroin

BISHKEK, May 4 (TCA) –Kyrgyz law enforcement officers have arrested a man who was transporting a large amount of heroin in his car, according to Kyrgyzstan's Interior Ministry.
April 27 police confiscated almost 60 kilograms of heroin from man’s car in Kara-Kul, Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, near the Tajik border, Interior Ministry stated May 2.
The suspect, a Kyrgyz citizen from the southern Batken region, identified only as U.B., age 37, allegedly was involved in illegal drug trafficking from Tajikistan via Kyrgyzstan to Russia and other European countries.
The ministry officials said that investigation is under way.
