TASHKENT — Border security challenges in the Central Asian region, with an emphasis on the developments in Afghanistan and the resulting transnational threats affecting neighboring states, were the focus of the 17th Central Asia Border Management Initiative (CABMI) Conference held from 13 to 15 December in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
