BISHKEK (TCA) — No political party joins election races claiming that it wants the worst for the country. They all promise the best thinkable. How to do it matters less. In countries where governments usually consist of coalitions they have little reason to explain that since no single party has to bear responsibility for the fulfillment of its election promises and can blame “compromise” for any failure to do so. It is in such a spirit that in a week’s time Kyrgyzstan goes to the polls for the second time since the launch of a parliamentary democracy in the country.
