Benjamin Dow is a Russia and Eurasia expert with over 20 years' experience in the region spanning government and business. He began his career in citizen diplomacy on the U.S.-funded Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program and the Open World Leadership Center at the Library of Congress. He also worked on the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration's anti-nuclear and fissile materials smuggling efforts. He worked for Bloomberg News for a decade in Moscow as an oil & gas, metals & mining, emerging stocks & currencies and macroeconomics editor and strategist. divider Ben holds degrees in Russian, energy markets and economics from Middlebury College and the School of International & Public Affairs at Columbia University. He splits his time between Central Asia and Northern Appalachia.
