Keary Iarussi is an American who has been living in Almaty since 2023. He currently works as a Russian-English translator and editor for various local and international projects, including The Times of Central Asia. From 2016 to 2022, he held a similar position at a large investment bank in Moscow. Iarussi graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with degrees in Russia Studies and Global Politics. He is a professional American football coach, and is interested in politics, economics and history, specializing in post-Soviet space.
