The Times of Central Asia in Cooperation with Central Asia-Caucasus Institute and American Foreign Policy CouncilNew Initiatives from Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan, or the Kyrgyz Republic, might be one of the smallest nations in Central Asia by population, but it has consistently played a substantial role in shaping the region’s history and geopolitical dynamics. From its bold government experiments to its efforts in regional cooperation, Kyrgyzstan continues to punch above its weight. Under the leadership of President Sadyr Japarov, the country is making significant strides in diplomacy, economic reform, and cultural preservation, all while strengthening its ties with the United States.
In collaboration with American Foreign Policy Council’s Central Asia-Caucasus Institute, TCA hosted a virtual event on January 29, 2025, to explore the historical ties and future prospects of the U.S.-Kyrgyz bilateral relationship.
The Burgut Expert Talk Series is a virtual forum where local and international experts discuss defining trends, challenges and opportunities shaping Central Asia.
