Assets worth $4.4 billion legalized in Kazakhstan so far

ASTANA (TCA) — Since the beginning of the property and capital legalization campaign in Kazakhstan, property and money have been legalized for 1.5 trillion tenge or around US $4.4 billion according to the exchange rate on June 2, Finance Minister Bakhyt Sultanov said on June 2, the official website of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported.

Kyrgyzstan and Russia hold inter-regional cooperation forum

BISHKEK (TCA) — Last year Kyrgyzstan’s export to Russia grew 28.6 percent, Kyrgyzstan Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Pankratov said at the 5th Kyrgyz-Russian inter-regional conference “Development of inter-regional ties in the context of Eurasian integration process,” held on June 2 in Ufa, the capital of Russia’s Bashkortostan Region.

Oil and gas remains Uzbekistan’s largest export item

TASHKENT (TCA) — Energy sources and oil products accounted for the largest part (25.9 percent) of Uzbekistan’s exports in 2015. Their share in exports remained unchanged compared to 2014, Novosti Uzbekistana news agency reported with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan.

Kazakhstan looking for markets to export surplus electricity

ASTANA (TCA) — Kazakhstan now has a surplus electricity generation capacity of around 4-5 thousand MW a year and the country is considering the possibilities of electricity export and transit, Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency reported citing Bakytzhan Kazhiyev, chairman of the Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC).
