Kazakhstan to auction 101 mineral deposits

ASTANA (TCA) — An auction to attract investors in the mining and metallurgical sector of Kazakhstan will be held on June 16 as part of the 7th International Mining and Metallurgy Congress and Exhibition AMM 2016, which will take place in Astana on June 15 and 16, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan reported citing Deputy Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Albert Rau.

U.S. helps promote awareness of importance of traffic safety in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK (TCA) — Urban Initiatives’ Road Triangle outreach campaign, supported by the United States through USAID, emphasized the critical roles that traffic police, drivers, and pedestrians play in ensuring road safety in Kyrgyzstan. As part of this campaign, the Bishkek-based civil society organization Urban Initiatives developed an online test to help drivers improve their knowledge of traffic safety rules, the organization said. To date, more than 26,700 people have taken the test.
