European brands seek opportunities with Kyrgyz apparel manufacturers

BISHKEK (TCA) — Major German retailer KiK last week met with Kyrgyz apparel companies to discuss opportunities with European buyers. The meeting was part of the Apparel Innovation Club supported by the United States through USAID’s Business Growth Initiative to strengthen the Kyrgyz textile industry, the US Embassy in Bishkek said.

UK business delegation visits Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT (TCA) — The UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy, Baroness Nicholson, arrived in Turkmenistan on June 7 for her first visit to the country. Her programme in Ashgabat included calls on senior members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and leading a delegation of British companies to participate at the 5th meeting of the Turkmenistan United Kingdom Trade & Industry Council (TUKTIC) which took place in Ashgabat on June 9, the British Embassy in Ashgabat said.

Kyrgyzstan advised to aggressively tap key and emerging tourism markets
