EU supports sustainable agriculture in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT (TCA) — A presentation of the third phase of the international project “Support for further sustainable Agriculture and Rural development in Turkmenistan”, implemented with the European Union assistance, was recently held in Ashgabat. The event was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Industry of Turkmenistan with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Turkmenistan: the Golden Age online newspaper reported.

ADB, Kyrgyzstan sign agreement to complete Toktogul hydro plant upgrade

US donates over a quarter million books to Kyrgyz-language primary schools

BISHKEK (TCA) — On December 12, National Literature Day, U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Sheila Gwaltney announced USAID’s donation of over 264,000 books that will be distributed among all Kyrgyz-language public primary schools. Each Kyrgyz-language public primary school will receive a set of 123 Kyrgyz language books featuring tales, stories, riddles, and poetry tailored to the needs of early readers, the U.S. Embassy said.

Turkmenistan’s economic growth slowing down — IMF
