World Bank helps Tajikistan strengthen country’s climate resilience

DUSHANBE (TCA) — The Minister of Finance of Tajikistan, Abdusalom Qurboniyon, and the World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan, Patricia Veevers-Carter, on February 12 signed an agreement to finance the Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for Aral Sea Basin (CAMP4ASB). Under this regional program, financing for Tajikistan includes US$9 million from the International Development Association, the World Bank said.

Kazakhstan may open a trade mission in Iran

ASTANA (TCA) — The Ministry of Investment and Development in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan are considering the opening of a trade mission of Kazakhstan in Iran, Chairman of Industrial Development and Industrial Safety Committee at the Ministry of Investment and Development, Amaniyaz Yerzhanov, told a media briefing in Astana on February 12, the official website of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported.
