BISHKEK (TCA) — Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is also the chairman in office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), discussed bilateral ties and regional and international issues with Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev in Bishkek on March 31.
BISHKEK (TCA) — Kyrgyzstan’s Tourism Development Program until 2020, presented on March 30, aims at creation of favorable conditions for tourism and increase of its share in GDP by at least 7% and increase of the annual number of foreign tourists by 20%.

TASHKENT (TCA) — Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who is also the chairman in office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), is visiting Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan from 29 March to 1 April and holding talks with the countries’ political leaders in all three capitals. Steinmeier is also meeting representatives of civil society in the Central Asian countries, the German Foreign Ministry said.
ASTANA (TCA) — Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev met with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels on March 30. The meeting focused on ratification of the EU-Kazakhstan Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement signed in December 2015 and sanctions against Russia that affect Kazakhstan, RFE/RL reported.
