World Bank helps Tajikistan strengthen country’s climate resilience

DUSHANBE (TCA) — The Minister of Finance of Tajikistan, Abdusalom Qurboniyon, and the World Bank Country Manager for Tajikistan, Patricia Veevers-Carter, on February 12 signed an agreement to finance the Climate Adaptation and Mitigation Program for Aral Sea Basin (CAMP4ASB). Under this regional program, financing for Tajikistan includes US$9 million from the International Development Association, the World Bank said.

Kazakhstan may open a trade mission in Iran

Kyrgyz fruit and vegetables will be delivered to Astana supermarkets

ASTANA (TCA) — At the initiative of the Trade Committee of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan a business meeting was held last week with a delegation of representatives of farms from the Osh region of southern Kyrgyzstan. The meeting was organized to build a partnership between Kyrgyz farmers and commercial enterprises of the Kazakh capital, Astana, for the early supply of fruit and vegetables and signing of long-term supply contracts, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan said on its website.
