ASHGABAT (TCA) — U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan Matthew Klimow on October 21 awarded a $150,000 grant through the Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) to the National Administration for the Preservation, Study, and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Turkmenistan. NUR-SULTAN (TCA) — Turkish investors from Kayseri Seker Fabrikasi are planning to build a sugar refinery in Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar region. The Turkish businessmen announced their intentions during a visit to Kazakhstan, organized by Kazakh Invest national investment promotion company jointly with the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Turkey. DUSHANBE (TCA) — On October 22, the Charge d’affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the donation of radiation detection equipment to the Dushanbe International Airport. This equipment was donated by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD) in partnership with the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of Tajikistan.
