BISHKEK (TCA) — The fourth in a series of development dialogues gathered leading experts, representatives of international organisations, as well as state ministries and agencies of Kyrgyzstan to discuss “Industrial and Technological Development of Kyrgyzstan”. The half-day development dialogue took place in Bishkek on June 24, and was co-organised by the United Nations system in Kyrgyzstan and the University of Central Asia’s (UCA) Institute of Public Policy and Administration (IPPA). These dialogues support work on a long-term national policy on key development issues for Kyrgyzstan.

KHOROG, Tajikistan (TCA) — Over 20 participants from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, India and the United States came together for the second international Summer University on Disaster Risk Management in Khorog, Tajikistan. Held from June 16-28, the Summer University is organised by the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) and the University of Central Asia’s (UCA) Mountain Societies Research Institute (MSRI) and conducted in collaboration with the University of Bern of Switzerland and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna.
