The ‘rich’ support EEU more often than the ‘poor’ — survey

BISHKEK (TCA) — A survey of the preferences of different income groups in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries suggests that higher-income citizens are more positive towards the EEU than economically weaker groups, according to the EDB Integration Barometer, a yearly joint research by Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Centre for Integration Studies and Eurasian Monitor, an international partnership, run since 2012. In 2016, 8,500 respondents from seven countries took part in the survey.

WFP/UNICEF, USAID observe programmes in Tajikistan’s Rasht Valley

GHARM, Tajikistan (TCA) — World Food Programme (WFP) Tajikistan Country Director Paolo Mattei and UNICEF in Tajikistan Representative Lucia Elmi took part in a joint 2-day visit to Tajikistan’s Rasht Valley with the U.S. Ambassador Elisabeth Millard, USAID Country Director Kate Crawford, and representatives from the Tajik Ministry of Health and Social Protection on 3 and 4 November.

Uzbekistan to hold international fruit and vegetable fair

TASHKENT (TCA) — On November 8-10, Tashkent will host Uzbekistan’s First International Fruit and Vegetable Fair, during which it is expected to sign sales contracts for more than 1 million tons of fresh and about 30 thousand tons of processed fruit and vegetable products, the Jahon information agency reports.
