BISHKEK (TCA) — Canadian-based gold mining company Centerra Gold Inc. and Kumtor Gold Company have said that gold production at the Kumtor mine, the largest gold mine in Kyrgyzstan, was 550,960 ounces or 17,136.78 kg in 2016. Gold sales in 2016 were 546,342 ounces or 16,993.15 kg with a revenue totaling $686.4 million.

BISHKEK (TCA) — The first EU technical mission on GSP+ visited Kyrgyzstan in February to produce an assessment of the current state of play of testing laboratories available in Kyrgyzstan and specifically of those having international certification to approve the quality of products to be exported to the EU Member States.
