Uzbekistan pledges support to foreign investment

TASHKENT (TCA) — Uzbekistan has set an ambitious goal of at least doubling its gross domestic product by 2030. Accomplishing this goal will largely depend on the success of the country’s investment policy in key sectors of the economy, the Jahon information agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

US promoting Kyrgyz cultural heritage, tourism through stronger museums

OSH, Kyrgyzstan (TCA) — On June 20, the United States launched the second module of a training program to strengthen Kyrgyz museums’ exhibitions and services. Experts in museum management from the Republic of Georgia will lead sessions for museum and tourism professionals on organizing museum exhibitions, educational programs, and special events. The training is taking place in Osh in southern Kyrgyzstan between June 20 and 24, the US Embassy in Bishkek said.

Tajikistan sets strategic development goals

DUSHANBE (TCA) — By 2030 Tajikistan will increase its annual electricity generation capacity from today’s 17 billion up to 45 billion kilowatt-hours and change the country’s export structure in favor of finished products instead of raw materials, Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon said at the meeting of the National Development Council under the President of Tajikistan on June 21, the President’s press service reported.
