EU helps improve identification and profiling of foreign terrorists in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT (TCA) — The EU is continuing to offer significant support to border security activities in Central Asia. In particular, on February 21-23 Tashkent will host the National workshop on profiling of foreign terrorists fighters, conducted within the framework of the EU-funded Border Management in Central Asia Programme (BOMCA 9), the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan said.

New motor transport corridor: from Uzbekistan to China via Kyrgyzstan in 2 days

TASHKENT (TCA) — Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade Sahib Saifnazarov, as well as representatives of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport told a briefing in Tashkent about the preparations for sending the first convoy with export cargo along the new motor transport corridor Tashkent – Andijan (Uzbekistan) – Osh (Kyrgyzstan) – Irkeshtam – Kashgar (China), the Jahon information agency reported.

Kazakhstan hosts international symposium on reviving Aral Sea region
