Climate change may reverse hard-earned development gains in Asia — report

BISHKEK (TCA) — Unabated climate change would bring devastating consequences to countries in Asia and the Pacific, including Central Asia, which could severely affect their future growth, reverse current development gains, and degrade quality of life, according to a report produced by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), ADB said on July 14.

Modern tourist zone to be established in Samarkand in Uzbekistan

Germany’s president says his country to support different sectors in Afghanistan

KABUL (TCA) — Germany’s Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited Afghanistan on July 13. During his one-day visit, the Federal President met Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah for political talks in Kabul. The Federal President also visited the memorial at Camp Marmal to remember the German soldiers killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan, and addressed German troops as well as representatives of international forces and civilian personnel.
