Exhibition dedicated to local self-governance in Kyrgyzstan is open in Bishkek

BISHKEK (TCA) — Official opening of the posters’ exhibition dedicated to citizen participation in municipal life and transparency of local self-governments took place on November 2 at Aitiev National Art gallery in Bishkek. Until November 19, guests of the Gallery will have a chance to see posters of artists who participated in the competition “Live better: here and now, 2017”, the Embassy of Switzerland in Kyrgyzstan said.

EBRD to open new office, sign new projects in Uzbekistan

TASHKENT (TCA) — European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) First Vice President Phil Bennett will visit Uzbekistan this week to meet Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other senior officials and speak at the International Conference on Security and Sustainable Development in Central Asia. He will also open a new office of the Bank in the capital, Tashkent, on 8 November, which demonstrates the EBRD’s new stage of engagement with Uzbekistan, the EBRD press office said.
