Taiwanese business developing cooperation with Kazakhstan

ALMATY (TCA) — A delegation of the Taiwanese Council of External Trade Development has visited Almaty to establish business relations with partners in Kazakhstan, to set up joint ventures, consider investments, and develop distribution of Taiwanese goods in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan reported.

US helps Kyrgyz tourism companies to promote destinations in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK (TCA) — In partnership with the United States through the USAID Business Growth Initiative, Kyrgyz tourism companies in March promoted tourist destinations in Kyrgyzstan and signed several contracts for the 2016 season at two leading international travel exhibitions: Internationale Tourismus Börse Berlin (ITB Berlin) and the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT), the US Embassy in Bishkek said on April 26.

CASA-1000 power transmission project to be inaugurated in May

BISHKEK (TCA) — The $1 billion-plus Central Asia-South Asia electricity transmission project (CASA-1000) will be inaugurated on May 12 by top officials from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The project is supported by the World Bank Group, Islamic Development Bank, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United Kingdom Department for International Development (DFID), and Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).
