On May 6-7, the Tourism Department under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic together with the Kyrgyz Resorts Association held the event in Cholpon-Ata city at Lake Issyk-Kul. BISHKEK (TCA) — The World Nomad Games were named the most memorable event of 2016 in Kyrgyzstan according to a readers’ poll conducted by local media. Kyrgyzstan surprised the world with this amazing project, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said at his year-end press conference, adding that “now we are known as a cohesive multi-ethnic nation that honors its traditions”.
