Kazakh garment retailers switching to import substitution
ASTANA (TCA) — The volatility of the Kazakh national currency, the tenge, has made local retailers of imported clothing to gradually switch to selling domestically produced garment. As part of this trend, the first store selling women's and children's clothing and jewelry made by Kazakhstani designers has been opened in the capital Astana with the support of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, the Chamber reported on its website.
