Tajikistan and Switzerland Strengthen Cooperation in Banking

A meeting between representatives of the economic bloc of Tajikistan and Switzerland was held at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank's Constituency Group conference. As reported by Avesta.tj. , the Tajik delegation was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Hokim Holikzoda, and the Swiss side, by Federal Minister of Finance Karin Keller-Zutter and Chairman of the Swiss National Bank Thomas Jordaan. Both sides expressed satisfaction with their now long-term cooperation. Over the past 25 years, the Swiss National Bank has significantly contributed to Tajikistan's development of essential aspects of its banking system, including managing international resources, monetary policy, and operational risk management. Focused on further cooperation, the agenda included attracting Swiss finance and modern technologies to develop other vital sectors of Tajikistan's economy.

Switzerland supports optimization of local services in Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK (TCA) — On February 14, the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan invited representatives of relevant state bodies, expert community and international organizations to discuss specific measures for the optimization of services provided at the local level. The discussion was based on a draft "Plan of measures for optimization of the system of municipal services provided at the local level for 2018-2023". The elaboration of this plan was supported by the "Public Service Improvement" project, which is financed by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented by the Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and the Development Policy Institute, the Embassy of Switzerland in the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Kyrgyzstan: Switzerland will support OSCE Academy in Bishkek for next three years

BISHKEK (TCA) — An agreement in which Switzerland commits to allocate CHF 430,000 (approximately EUR 370,000) in support of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek over the next three years was signed by the Swiss Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Véronique Hulmann and the Head of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Programme Office in Bishkek, Pierre von Arx on December 14 in Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan: Switzerland helps local municipalities provide quality services to population

BISHKEK (TCA) — Municipalities of Sakaldy, Lenin and Masy in Jalal-Abad oblast as well as Kumbel and Bostery in Issyk-Kul oblast in Kyrgyzstan improve the quality of public services delivered to their citizens. This result is part of the Public Service Improvement project, financed by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by a consortium of partners, Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation and Development Policy Institute, the Embassy of Switzerland in the Kyrgyz Republic said on November 30.
