Central Asia countries improve regional cooperation to better manage disaster risks

BISHKEK (TCA) — In Central Asia, a vast region that includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, natural disasters can come in many forms – from persistent floods and droughts to rapid-onset events such as earthquakes, avalanches, and landslides. To support Central Asian countries in enhancing regional collaboration in disaster risk reduction, the World Bank and its partners recently brought together scientists and government officials for the first scientific and technical council meeting on emergency situations and disaster risk reduction, reads an article posted on the World Bank website.

Private investment in intelligent systems of Kazakhstan road sector

NUR-SULTAN (TCA) — The signing of an investment agreement between KazAvtoZhol National Company, the Far Eastern Electronic Toll Collection Co., LTD Consortium Company, and Computer Vision Technologies LLP took place on December 24 in the presence of Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin in Nur-Sultan, the prime minister’s press service reported.

Danish company awarded for technology used at GTG plant in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT (TCA) — Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov received the head of Danish company Haldor Topsoe, Mr Bjorn Stephan Clausen, in Ashgabat, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported on December 23. Mr Clausen emphasized unique features of the modern industrial facility in Turkmenistan’s Ahal province, the first plant in the world which produces eco-friendly synthetic motor fuel from natural gas, and expressed gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the opportunity to take part in this major investment project.
