Uzbekistan: USAID supports first Forum of Public Councils in Tashkent

TASHKENT (TCA) — Tashkent last week hosted the first Forum of Public Councils that brought together more than 150 representatives of the public councils throughout Uzbekistan, media, active citizens, and foreign experts to discuss development of public councils and ongoing reforms in the country. The Forum was organized by the Partnership for Innovations (P4I) project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Yuksalish Nationwide Movement and the Civil Society Development Association (ARGO) of Kazakhstan, the US Embassy in Uzbekistan reported.

Kazakhstan updating National Export Strategy

NUR-SULTAN (TCA) — Kazakhstan’s Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov, speaking at a government meeting last week, said that his ministry had begun updating the National Export Strategy, taking into account the new foreign trade challenges and business needs, the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported.
