Kazakhstan to launch a single portal to support exporters

NUR-SULTAN (TCA) — An information and analytical portal is being created to provide a wide range of services for both prospective and active exporters in Kazakhstan, Deputy Chairperson of QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development Assel Egemberdiyeva said in an interview to PrimeMinister.kz.

A single window for exporters, QazTrade, was created in Kazakhstan in September 2019, which provides all support measures for Kazakh exporters.

Egemberdiyeva said that in December 2019, within the framework of QazTrade, it is planned to launch a single portal export.gov.kz.

The portal will provide the following support to exporters:

– Independent assessment of the export potential of enterprises and their products;
– Market analysis of potential importers and a marketing campaign to promote products;
– Formation of a package of necessary documents for the export of goods and services;
– In-depth and comprehensive analysis of foreign industry and country markets;
– The study of trade barriers to entering foreign markets and the development of proposals for their elimination.

The portal will include all the necessary information for exporters, including information materials on goods of export interest of Kazakhstan, the most attractive sales markets, statistics, advertising and other information regarding export activities. At the same time, a register of Kazakhstani exporters-suppliers and their products will be posted on the portal. This will allow foreign customers to find Kazakhstani counterparties on the portal.

“This will be a resource for feedback from exporters. They may apply for support measures. The portal will be interesting for importers of Kazakhstani products, who can find potential exporters, suppliers of Kazakhstani products on this portal,” said Egemberdiyeva.

According to the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan’s foreign trade in January-September 2019 amounted to $70.4 billion, which is 1.5% higher than for the same period of the previous year. Total exports from Kazakhstan in January-September 2019 amounted to $42.7 billion, the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported.

The main consumers of Kazakhstan processed goods are: China (with a share of 24.8%), Russia (18.8%), Uzbekistan (6.3%), the Netherlands (5.8%), and Turkey (4.4%).
