WB project to help improve access to electricity in Tajikistan’s remote regions
DUSHANBE (TCA) — To ensure access to electricity for vulnerable communities in Tajikistan’s remotest regions along the western foothills of the Himalayas, the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors has approved the financing of $31.7 million for the Tajikistan Rural Electrification Project (TREP). The financing has been provided from the International Development Association’s (IDA) pilot Risk Mitigation Regime, the World Bank said.
