Kazakhstan, UNESCO to establish International Center for Rapprochement of Cultures

NUR-SULTAN (TCA) — An agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization on the establishment of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO was signed on June 25 in Paris. The agreement was signed by UNESCO Director General Audrey Azoulay and Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova, the official website of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan reported.

Uzbekistan to host FAO Regional Conference for Europe and Central Asia in 2020

TASHKENT (TCA) — Every two years, countries of Europe and Central Asia – a vast and diverse region of more than 50 countries – come together to set the agenda for issues related to food and agriculture. With the approval of José Graziano da Silva, FAO Director-General, it has become official that the next Regional Conference for Europe (ERC) will be hosted by Uzbekistan in early 2020, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) said on June 24.
