BISHKEK (TCA) — An investment forum dedicated to Kyrgyzstan will take place on May 25 at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Headquarters in London.
The forum is organized by the Kyrgyz Embassy and the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan. Investment in natural resources and green energy, as well as business climate, are some of the topics which will be discussed.
The event is hosted with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Chaarat Gold Holdings Limited.
The Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Arzybek Kojoshev will present investment opportunities and new projects in the country. He will explain the legislative reforms undertaken by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to improve the investment climate, private sector development and create more favourable conditions for exports to European markets.
Azamat Arapbaev, Member of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, Member of the Committee on Economic and Fiscal Policy, will report on the political system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Duishenbek Zilaliev, Head of the State Committee on Industry, Energy and Mining of the Kyrgyz Republic, will tell about hydro power investment projects in Kyrgyzstan.
The forum builds on the success of the inaugural UK trade mission to the Kyrgyz Republic which took place earlier this year.
There will be a session on the latest developments in the mining industry in Kyrgyzstan to illustrate the progress made to encourage foreign investors to the country.
