ALMATY (TCA) — A delegation from the city of Hancheng (Shaanxi Province, China) arrived in Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty, in search of business partners, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan reported on its website on August 19. The delegation consisted of manufacturers of building materials, steel structures, electromechanical equipment, and ceramic products, as well as managers of Chinese travel agencies.
“Strong political and economic ties have been established between Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China, but there is still a niche that can be filled. The Map of Regional Development, developed by NCE Atameken, will help to look for profitable investment objects. It clearly structures sectors that make up the regional economy. For example, in Almaty it is the light industry, food industry, pharmaceuticals, and tourism. There are also 10 free economic zones functioning throughout the country, two of which are located in our city. These are the Industrial Zone and Special Economic Zone Park of Innovation Technologies Alatau, where entrepreneurs are provided with all conditions for doing business,” the Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Almaty, Yuri Tleumuratov, told the Chinese delegation.
The delegation’s head, the head of Huai’an County Lu Wei Dong expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and informed about the readiness for close cooperation.
“Under the state program ‘One Belt – One Way’, many of our companies have opened representative offices in Kazakhstan. The head of a textile factory, the director of an electrical equipment plant, the head of a cement plant are present here today. They are all interested in your proposal to open a business in the industrial area,” said Lu Wei Dong.
The sides discussed the tax rates and incentives, electricity tariffs and other costs.
