Uzbekistan to export fruit and vegetables under a single brand

TASHKENT (TCA) — Uzbekistan is launching a new unified product brand, UzAgro, for the export of all fruit and vegetable products produced in the country, the Jahon information agency reports.

This brand is called to become a guarantor of high quality of Uzbek products and services. The O’zbekoziqovqatxolding holding company believes that due to the UzAgro trademark, fresh and processed agricultural products and the Uzbek food industry will be able to take a worthy place in the international market.

“With effective and competent promotion of Uzbek products under a single brand, we will get a high result in a short time. Customers in any country when seeing the brand UzAgro will understand that they acquire an environmentally friendly product of high quality, ahead of competitors in many biological characteristics and taste. UzAgro will become a unifying force for Uzbek exporters,” said Tohirjon Jalilov, the chairman of the board of O’zbekoziqovqatxolding.

Today, Uzbekistan is Central Asia’s largest producer of fruit and vegetable products.

In recent years, the country has grown into a major exporter of fruit and vegetable products. Previously, they were traditionally delivered mainly to Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries, while today they are shipped to the markets of over 120 countries. The map of supplies has expanded largely due to the establishment of exports to Indonesia, Norway, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, USA, Thailand, and Japan.
