ASTANA (TCA) — At the Kostanay Chamber of Entrepreneurs there was a meeting of local businessmen with the Ambassador of France in Kazakhstan Philippe Martine, who arrived in Kostanay region on a working visit to get acquainted with the potential of the region, establish contacts with the local business community and identify areas for cooperation, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan reported.
The French business mission aimed to establish business ties and find mutual interests in various fields of activity, as well as to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries.
Only flax seeds are exported to France from Kazakhstan today. Philip Martine is sure that after visiting all regions of Kazakhstan, having studied the needs of the population, French colleagues will be able to identify new formats of cooperation.
“Now in Europe there is a crisis in agriculture. Even in France. You have advantages in the environment, no additives, GMOs. You have more natural products. It meets modern trends and needs. Now, organic food is gaining popularity. I think that in France there are enterprises that could be interested in your products,” the Ambassador said.
Representatives of the tourist industry asked the ambassador to help in facilitating the visa regime. “We will create a visa center in Astana. From the regions we will collect applications, visas can be received even easier and more quickly,” said Philippe Martine.
The French ambassador’s visit also included visits to large enterprises of the region and the plant SaryarkaAvtoProm producing French Peugeot cars.
