Kazakhstan reduces inspections of businesses

ASTANA (TCA) — In the first half of 2018, state bodies in Kazakhstan will check more than 30,000 business entities, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan reported on its website.

The Kazakh Prosecutor General’s Office has on its website published approved schedules of inspections for the new year. Every entrepreneur can find out in the “Audit Schedule” tab whether an inspection will be carried out against his or her business entity.

According to the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounts of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan, 1179 unreasonably appointed inspections have been excluded from the schedules. In total, six state bodies are authorized to conduct inspections of businesses: the Committee for Industrial Development and Industrial Safety of the Ministry of Investments and Development, the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Committee for the Protection of Public Health of the Ministry of Health, the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy, the Main Military Medical Directorate of the Armed Forces, and the National High Command.

A total of 31,669 business entities are subject to inspection in the new year.

At the same time, the Prosecutor General’s Office said that through the mobile application “Qamqor for Entrepreneurs” every citizen can appeal against illegal actions of the controlling state bodies.
