MOSCOW, Nov 25 (Interfax). Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member countries share the Russian concern over the U.S. missile defense deployment, Russian Representative to the CSTO, Foreign Ministry Ambassador at Large Igor Lyakin-Frolov told Interfax.
"They basically support our position at the negotiations with the Americans. Whenever we express our concerns, which are seriously grounded, this expression reflects the viewpoint of our allies to a certain degree," he said.
Russia informs its CSTO allies about the progress of the missile defense negotiations, he said.
"We think that this problem concerns not only Russia but also others, at least some, CSTO member states. They do not want the U.S. European missile defense plans to break the balance and create new threats," the Russian diplomat emphasized.
