Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan discuss border issues

TASHKENT, March 26 (TCA) — The Kyrgyz-Uzbek Joint Commission on delimitation and demarcation of the border started its meeting today in Tashkent, Kabar reported referring to Uzbek media.
According to the source, Kyrgyz side is represented by the Vice Prime Minister for security, law enforcement and border Shamil Atakhanov, while Uzbek side is presented by the First Deputy Prime and Finance Minister Rustam Azimov.
During the meeting, the sides will reportedly consider the issues of border security, issues relating to customs procedures, passport and visa control, the development of border areas, demarcation and delimitation issues.
The previous meeting of this commission was held last summer in Fergana.
